Hannah Jasmine Hilgendorf (née Tucker) is the sixth of a splendid crew of eleven children. Having grown up in Idaho, Washington, and Nevada, she made visits to exotic places like Texas, California, New Zealand, Wisconsin, and Tennessee to be a Mommy’s Apprentice under sisters and sister-in-law. It was in the wilds of a Wisconsin seminary community that she met Stephen in March of 2013, with whom she (reluctantly at first) discerned a call to the sacrament of matrimony. After a whirlwind courtship, long-distance engagement, and tiny DIY wedding in October 2013, they settled into the last few months of Stephen’s schooling. In January 2014, they became parents and added morning sickness to the craziness of learning married life and preparing for a step into the unknown. Upon graduating in May 2014, they moved in with Stephen’s family in southern Michigan, where Maria Grace was born in October 2014. In April of 2015, Stephen received and accepted a call to serve as rector of an Anglican parish in the Twin Cities. In Eastertide of 2016, their family again grew, and John Stephen made his appearance late on Christmas Eve. In July of 2017, Stephen resigned from his post at St Dunstan’s and renounced his orders in preparation for being received into full communion with the Catholic Church in September. While still waiting to learn God’s will for the next step in their lives, they reside in a sweet apartment, where Hannah reigns supreme as she lives out her lifelong dream of being a stay at home wife and mother. She seeks to glorify God as she grows in her relationship with Him, in her vocation as mater familias, and in all the little skills in writing and creating that she develops.
